Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy welcomed the Delegation from IPSAC VN, U.S.A
On September 9th 2016, the Delegation from IPSAC VN, U.S.A paid a visit at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP). The delegation was presented by 4 lecturers from Illinois University, U.S.A on emergency medicine, pediatric intensive care, and nursing: Dr. Girish Deshpande, Dr. Sara Krzyzaniak, Mr. Toufic Khairallah, Ms. Ginger Barton and 4 volunteers - interpreters.
The delegation was welcomed by Assoc. Prof.
Pham Thi Tam, Vice Rector; Dr. Thai Thi Ngoc Thuy, Vice Head of Scientific
Research & International Relations Office; Chief board and lecturers from departments
of Surgery, Pediatrics and Skills Lab Unit.
Working activities and outcomes:
1. The delegation introduced the CTUMP’s rector board
and representatives of concerned departments about teaching activities of PASS
(Pediatric Acute Surgical Support) training course which has been carried out
in Vietnam, and discussed about feasibility of organizing a training course at
CTUMP for doctors in Mekong Delta region. Both sides also talked over
conditions to hold the course which is going to take place in February, 2017.
