MEDICAL STUDENTS EXCHANGE PROGRAM: WELCOMING PHYSIOTHERAPY STUDENTS FROM UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA TO ATTEND A SHORT TERM COUSRE IN CAN THO UNIVERSTY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY (MAY 15th-JUNE 5th, 2019)

On May 15th, 2019, there were an event of welcoming Physiotherapy students delegation from University of South Australia (UniSA) to attend a short term cousre in Can Tho Universty of Medicine and Pharmacy persisting 4 weeks. There were 11 members on the delegation comprising of 1 consulant lecturer and 10 Physiotherapy final-year students. Beside that, to supply the best assistance for the delegation, Mr. TRAM Van Nhieu – Lecturer in Rehabilitation training Department, Faculty of Medicine, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, took the responsibility on supporting professional knowledge for students as well as actively exchanged specialities with Australian lecturer.


About training contents, the course mainly concentrated on Physiotherapy-Rehabilitation for pathology related to muscle nerve problems and musculoskeletal. Students were facilitated to exchange with technicians and practice on patients at Can Tho Orthosis & Rehabilitation Hospital and Physiotherapy department - Can Tho Central General Hospital. Especially, on May 23rd, 2019, Scientific Research and International Cooperation Office organized “A food-music exchanging meeting” for students of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and students of The University of South Australia.

At the end of this course, all the students in the delegation from the University of South Australia were issued certificates for completing Physiotherapy - Rehabilitation course by Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
