Delegation from Maastricht University and Radboud Nijmegen University (The Netherlands) visited and worked with Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) (3 December 2018)

On 3 December 2018, the delegation from the Netherlands including Prof. Mike Robertson and Prof. Pie Bartholomeus (Maastricht University) together with Prof. Henri van Asten (Radboud Nijmegen University) visited and worked at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP). The delegation also visited Skillslab Unit, Library, and other units of CTUMP. The delegation did collaborate with CTUMP 10 years ago.


Dr. NGUYEN Minh Phuong, Vice-Rector of CTUMP and other CTUMP’s  lecturers from Undergraduate Training Office, Scientific Research and International Cooperation Office, Faculty of Public Health, Skill Labs Unit welcomed the delegation and discussed to develop the collaborative programs.

Maastricht University is a prestigious university in the Netherlands. This university is always at the Top 3 in Netherlands’ universities. The university has about 12,000 students, of which 28% are international students, about 3,500 employees, of which 15% are foreigners. In 2005, Wirtschaftswoche Magazine (Business Week) of German listed Maastricht University among the top 10 European universities. The university has a well-established department of health, medicine, life sciences and psychology.

Radboud Nijmegen University is considered to be the best multidisciplinary university in the Netherlands. Approximately 19,000 students are currently enrolled in the university, of which 12% are international students with over 100 learning programs. This university ranks 121 of the world's best universities according to the 2017 World University Rankings. Faculty of Medicine of the University has Radboud Nijmegen Medical Center - the largest teaching and training hospital in Netherlands. Radboud Nijmegen University places at Top 10 CWUR rankings (World University Rankings Center).
