Some Impressive Activities of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Artevelde University, Hogent University (Belgium) (2018)

Artevelde University College, a member of the Ghent University Association, offers a wide variety of study programs in the fields of business, teacher training, communication and media, healthcare, and social work. The university college was founded in 2000, from the merger of four local university colleges. Today, it is a progressive center of expertise for education, research, and development, where students, staff member, and partner work together in a stimulating, internationally-oriented environment.


University College Ghent (HoGent) is the largest university college in Flanders, with three faculties, one School of Arts and 13,000 students. Its establishment in 1995 is the outcome of two successful mergers that involved sixteen Belgian institutions of higher education. Many had been influential leaders in higher education for several decades. The current faculties are spread over the city center of Ghent and Aalst. University College Ghent consists of three faculties and one School of Arts.

In the framework of the cooperation between Artevelde University, HoGhent University, Belgium and Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP), some impressive activities happened during the year 2018:

1. Students of HoGent arrived and took the internship at CTUMP (2 April – 3 June, 2018).

2. Lecturers and students of CTUMP had an excursion and practiced at Ghent University College (21 April - 1 May, 2018).

3. Lecturers of Artevelde University College worked with lecturers of Nursing Faculty, CTUMP (10-13 April, 2018).
