The meeting welcomed Prof. Rob GERTLER - Director of MEET, Ms. LY Thi Phuong Anh - Codirector of MEET, Dr. Jacqui MURPHY, Leader of MEET’s surgery team. CTUMP’s representatives included Assoc.Prof.  DAM Van Cuong - Vice Rector, Assoc.Prof. PHAM Van Nang - Vice Head of Can Tho University Hospital, Dr NGUYEN Thanh Tan - Vice Head of Hospital’s General Planning Office, Assoc.Prof. TRUONG Nhut Khue - Head of Odonto-Stomatology Faculty, Dr. NGUYEN Thang and Ms. NGUYEN Thi Nhu Trang - Scientific Research and International Cooperation Office. 

Delegates drove the meeting to some important decisions. Firstly, this program will be taken place from October 6th to 12th, 2019 after selecting patients from May to June, 2019. Besides that, surgery program will comprised of 4 clinical specialties: odonto-stomatology, urology, general, and hand surgeries. Speech therapy and clinical research will be also performed. 

The pediatric surgery program for children with birth defects is appreciated for their significant contributions to the community, and continues the solid cooperation between Can Tho University of Medicine and Medical Education Exchange Teams.
