Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) has a 40-year experience in training and conducting research on health sciences. The university has a high-quality human resource with a team of professional and experienced staff. Many lecturers have graduated with Master and Doctoral Degrees in Australia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, France, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, etc. Moreover, the lecturers are still working as researchers in cooperation with many international researchers all over the world (Please follow the link to know more about the List of international publications of CTUMP’s researchers).

Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy has been cooperating with many international universities, institutions in conducting research studies on medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, public health, nursing, and also some basic sciences supporting healthcare such as chemistry, physics, genetics, and molecular biology, etc. Many articles and studies of CTUMP’s researchers have been published in prestigious international journals and presented in many large scientific conferences worldwwide.

Currently, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy has encouraged CTUMP’s staff to cooperate with foreign partners and scientists to develop scientific and technological activities with international standards. CTUMP’s laboratories are equipped with many high-tech machines and equipment. Some are the laboratory of molecular biology with real-time PCR (polymerase chain reaction), the laboratory of drug quality control with HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) equipped with Diode-array and Tandem Mass Spectrometry (MS/MS) detectors.

There have been many represetatives of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy who participated and won awards in the conferences on science and technology for the Youth of Viet Nam Medical and Pharmaceutical Colleges and Universities in Vietnam.

Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy has organized many scientific conferences, meetings, and workshops with the presence of international experts in a variety of topics from basic sciences to clinical applications. We have also coordinated to host large-scale conferences with the participation of international delegates. We are making preparations for the International Scientific Conference on Medicine and Pharmacy Celebrating the 40-year Anniversary of Construction and Development of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (expected December 2019).
