ACADEMIC WORKSHOP - DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS AND BIOPHYSICS TOPIC: SENSOR TECHNOLOGY: FROM THEORY TO PRACTICAL APPLICATION

Under Plan No. 014/KH-BMVLLS dated June 6, 2025, the Department of Physics – Biophysics organized an academic workshop with the topic “Sensor Technology: From Theory to Practical Application” at 9:30 AM on June 20, 2025, in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Basic Sciences. Participants included all lecturers from the Department and students from the 50th cohort of the Biomedical Engineering program at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy who have an interest in the topic.

The seminar program included two presentations. The first talk by MSc. Nguyen Thi Kim Quyen with the topic “Introduction to Physical Sensors and Their Applications in Daily Life”. The title of the second talk is “Introduction to Electrochemical Sensors, Biosensors, and Their Applications”, which was given by MSc. Nguyen Hoang Men.

Following the presentations is an additional discussion session, which focuses on research directions and suggestions for student scientific research ideas.

The seminar received active questions from Biomedical Engineering students, reflecting their strong interest in research directions. It is hoped that this event will serve as a meaningful starting point, inspiring students' passion for scientific research and laying the foundation for a series of regular academic activities organized by the Department in the future.
