Thực hiện chủ trương của Ban Giám hiệu Trường Đại học Y Dược Cần Thơ về nâng cao chất lượng đội ngũ và tăng tỷ lệ giảng viên có trình độ sau đại học, Bộ môn Chấn thương Chỉnh hình đã chủ động triển khai đồng bộ các kế hoạch đào tạo, bồi dưỡng nhân sự trong thời gian qua. Việc chuẩn hóa trình độ giảng viên được xác định là nhiệm vụ trọng tâm, nhằm đáp ứng yêu cầu đổi mới chương trình đào tạo và phát triển bền vững của Nhà trường.

Dưới sự chỉ đạo của PGS.TS. Nguyễn Thành Tấn – Trưởng Bộ môn, tập thể Bộ môn đã tạo điều kiện tối đa để giảng viên tham gia các chương trình nghiên cứu sinh trong và ngoài nước. Tính đến tháng 11 năm 2025, Bộ môn có 10 giảng viên cơ hữu, 100% đã hoàn thành hoặc đang theo học chương trình nghiên cứu sinh tại các cơ sở đào tạo uy tín. Bên cạnh đó, Bộ môn còn có 01 giảng viên tập sự trình độ thạc sĩ, đang hoàn thiện hồ sơ dự tuyển nghiên cứu sinh trong năm tới.

Như vậy, nếu tính cả giảng viên cơ hữu, tập sự và giảng viên kiêm nhiệm, Bộ môn Chấn thương Chỉnh hình đã đạt tỷ lệ 100% cán bộ có trình độ sau đại học, phù hợp với mục tiêu phát triển nguồn nhân lực chất lượng cao của Nhà trường.

Nhân dịp các nghiên cứu sinh bảo vệ thành công luận án trong năm 2025, Trưởng Bộ môn đã chúc mừng các tân Tiến sĩ:

Ghi nhận những nỗ lực đào tạo và phát triển đội ngũ

Ngày 23/9/2025, Hiệu trưởng Trường Đại học Y Dược Cần Thơ đã ban hành Quyết định số 4277/QĐ-ĐHYDCT về việc khen thưởng tập thể Bộ môn Chấn thương Chỉnh hình vì đã hoàn thành tốt công tác quy hoạch và cử giảng viên đi học nghiên cứu sinh trong và ngoài nước. Quyết định đồng thời ghi nhận Bộ môn đã thực hiện nghiêm túc chủ trương nâng cao trình độ đội ngũ, góp phần hoàn thành các chỉ tiêu đào tạo sau đại học của Nhà trường.

Sự ghi nhận này thể hiện rõ sự quan tâm, ủng hộ của Ban Giám hiệu đối với công tác xây dựng và phát triển nhân sự, đồng thời là nguồn động lực để Bộ môn tiếp tục duy trì và nâng cao chất lượng đội ngũ giảng viên trong thời gian tới.

Bộ môn trân trọng cảm ơn Ban Giám hiệu cùng các phòng, ban chức năng đã luôn đồng hành, hỗ trợ trong quá trình triển khai các kế hoạch đào tạo và phát triển nhân sự, giúp Bộ môn hoàn thành đúng tiến độ và ổn định đội ngũ giảng dạy.

Định hướng phát triển trong thời gian tới

Trong giai đoạn tiếp theo, Bộ môn Chấn thương Chỉnh hình tiếp tục đặt ra các mục tiêu:

Duy trì và củng cố tỷ lệ giảng viên có trình độ sau đại học đạt và vượt chuẩn theo định hướng của Nhà trường.
Đẩy mạnh hoạt động nghiên cứu khoa học và tăng số lượng, chất lượng các công bố khoa học trong và ngoài nước.
Tăng cường hợp tác đào tạo và nghiên cứu với các đơn vị trong và ngoài nước, mở rộng mạng lưới liên kết chuyên môn.
Ứng dụng các tiến bộ chuyên môn vào giảng dạy và thực hành lâm sàng, góp phần nâng cao chất lượng điều trị cho người bệnh.
Phát triển đội ngũ kế thừa, bảo đảm tính liên tục, ổn định và phát triển lâu dài của Bộ môn.

THE DEPARTMENT OF ORTHOPEDICS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES ITS POSTGRADUATE FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PLAN

In line with the directive of the Board of Rectors of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy to enhance faculty quality and increase the proportion of lecturers holding postgraduate degrees, the Department of Orthopedics has proactively and effectively implemented a series of training and human resource development plans over the past few years. The standardization of faculty qualifications has been identified as a key priority to meet the requirements of curriculum innovation and the long-term development strategy of the University.

Under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Tan – Head of the Department - has provided maximum support to lecturers pursuing doctoral programs both domestically and internationally. As of November 2025, the Department has 10 full-time lecturers, all of whom have completed or are currently enrolled in reputable Ph.D. programs. In addition, the Department has one probationary lecturer with a Master’s degree who is preparing the application dossier for a doctoral program in the upcoming year.

With this, including full-time, probationary, and adjunct lecturers, the Department of Orthopedics has achieved 100% of its faculty holding postgraduate qualifications, fully meeting the University’s objectives for developing a high-quality academic workforce.

Recognition of Efforts in Faculty Development

On September 23, 2025, the President of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy issued Decision No. 4277/QĐ-ĐHYDCT, commending the Department of Orthopedics for its outstanding performance in planning and sending lecturers to pursue doctoral training domestically and abroad. The decision also acknowledged the Department’s strict adherence to the University’s policy on faculty qualification enhancement, which has contributed significantly to achieving the University’s postgraduate training targets.

The Certificate of Commendation awarded to the Department of Orthopedics recognizes its effective work in faculty development and planning for doctoral training.

This acknowledgment reflects the University leadership's strong support and commitment to human resource development. It also serves as an important motivation for the Department to further strengthen and enhance faculty capabilities in the coming years.

The Department extends its sincere appreciation to the Board of Rectors and the functional offices for their continuous support throughout the implementation of faculty development plans, which have enabled the Department to maintain progress and ensure the stability of its teaching staff.

Future Directions

In the upcoming period, the Department of Orthopedics will continue to pursue the following goals:

Maintain and strengthen the proportion of lecturers with postgraduate qualifications in accordance with University standards.
Promote scientific research activities and increase both the quantity and quality of national and international publications.
Expand training and research collaborations with domestic and international partners, strengthening professional networks.
Integrate advanced clinical knowledge and techniques into teaching and clinical practice to improve patient care.
Develop the next generation of lecturers to ensure long-term stability and sustainable growth of the Department.
