Workshop on Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) Equipment: Applications in Biomedical Research

At 13:30 on Thursday, April 3, 2025, the Faculty of Basic Sciences, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, organized a workshop entitled “Differential Scanning Calorimetry Equipment: Applications in Biomedical Research.”
The workshop aimed to provide knowledge and practical skills in using selected instruments to support teaching and scientific research for faculty members and learners of the University. This event enhanced the effective utilization of laboratory equipment currently invested in the Faculty and also created opportunities for research and training collaboration with international companies, thereby facilitating interdisciplinary research aligned with the University’s strategic orientation in Biomedical Engineering.
The workshop also served as a forum to help newly admitted students in Biomedical Engineering, in particular, and students of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy in general, gain initial exposure to specialized knowledge, develop research orientation, and learn from advanced technologies worldwide.
Workshop participants engaged in discussions with the speaker and shared perspectives on various issues related to Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) equipment and its applications in biomedical research. The workshop became more dynamic as attendees questioned directly to the experts.


At the conclusion of the workshop, on behalf of the organizing committee, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Thu Trâm delivered the closing remarks and expressed sincere thanks to **Dr. Tadashi, Senior Expert of Rigaku Corporation, Japan, for his valuable presentation on DSC equipment and its applications in biomedical research. This workshop serves as a foundation for a series of future seminars designed to provide University staff and students with a deeper understanding of advanced technologies worldwide.
